Greg Dillard is an inventor, a serial entrepreneur and successful business owner. Originally from Monroe, GA, Greg graduated summa cum laude from the University of Georgia in 1977 with a bachelor’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance. During his 30 years in the insurance industry, he has founded retail insurance agencies, a managing general agency, software companies that provide insurance services and captive insurance companies. For many years, Greg worked with businesses located primarily in the southeastern United States designing and implementing risk management and insurance programs that reduced injuries and operating expenses. He has also taught insurance classes, has been a guest speaker at industry conferences and at the Terry School of Business at the University of Georgia.
In 2001, Greg received a patent for an automated builder’s risk insurance system that enables construction lenders to offer the required property insurance in conjunction with their construction loans. To date, over 4,000 lenders have used the OMNI Builders Risk program to insure 100,000+ construction projects, saving homebuilders and new home buyers an estimated $8,000,000 in annual premium costs. The OMNI program is the epitome of the “win-win” business philosophy that is a hallmark of Greg Dillard’s long term success. In his spare time, Greg Dillard is a licensed pilot who enjoys traveling, an active real estate investor and a student of history, collecting Civil War currency and artifacts. |
